Evergreen, CO | Unbuilt Concept

A quiet retreat in the Colorado mountains, this home is marked by its matte blackened timber exterior and minimalist interiors. Materials were purposefully kept to a minimum, ensuring the landscape remains the focus, with the vertical wood cladding subtly referencing the nearby forest. An L-shaped plan, one leg containing private bedroom spaces embeds itself into the hillside - while the other cantilevers over the slope, framing views of mountains and forest from the communal spaces.
