Our practice is intentionally small with a commitment to providing a personal, one on one level of service to our clients. We are drawn to like-minded collaborators to embark on journeys of discovery together with the intent to craft and execute projects responding to the essence of our clientele’s lifestyle and the surrounding landscape.
Our mission is to promote a culture of a healthy work-life balance in an open studio environment where passionate creativity and discovery thrives alongside our desire to connect with nature outside of the workday. We draw inspiration from our natural surroundings at home in the Rocky Mountains as well as our travels abroad, which is why we place site and nature at the essence of our design process, seeking to create a resonance between our built works and the natural environment.
We believe in a deeply introspective and thoughtful approach to architecture which reflects our philosophy of working slowly, carefully, and with great attention to detail. Our studio environment emphasizes the importance of collaboration, but with a sense of quiet, focused work in small, close-knit teams, where ideas can be discussed openly but without overwhelming the individual’s creative space.
Our studio is a creative space for silence and concentration, in contrast to a fast-paced or constantly evolving work environment. We ask our clients to respect our need for time to think, allowing space for the design to evolve organically rather than rushing to meet deadlines. Our architecture is about feeling and atmosphere, and we believe that the environment in which we work can deeply influence the quality of the design. Our studio culture, thus, is centered around contemplation, attention to materiality, and a commitment to creating spaces that are as much about sensory experience as they are about form.
